She also gained additional experience in criminal appellate matters by writing numerous criminal appellate briefs and responses to post-conviction orders.

During law school, Ms. Lopez was a part of Stetson Law Review as an associate and editor. In her third year, Ms. Lopez was awarded the Wehle Award, the highest distinction in trial advocacy.
