John Perez is an Associate in Hall Booth Smith’s Tampa office, where he focuses his practice on construction, general liability, premises liability, and products liability matters.
A fourth-generation Tampa native, John brings deep-rooted ties to the local community and a thoughtful, strategic approach to client representation. Prior to joining Hall Booth Smith, John practiced at Florida’s largest defense firm, where he gained broad litigation experience representing clients in first-party property insurance matters before concentrating his practice on medical malpractice and liability defense. During this time, John gained substantial experience in all phases of the litigation process.
John earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law, where he was recognized for academic excellence with CALI Awards in Transactional Skills I and Trusts & Estates and served as a student ambassador. While in law school, John served as a legal intern with the Office of the Judges of Compensation Claims, contributing to case preparation through legal research, evidentiary analysis, and hearing support.
