potentially exposed persons near the facility. Plaintiffs seek injunctive relief, medical monitoring,

Irizarry et al. v. Orl
o Utilities Commission et al. Defended the Orl
o Utilities Commission in a putative class action brought by residents alleging that emissions from a power plant contaminated properties more than 15,000 properties within an approximate 80 square-mile area with radionuclides, metals,
other constituents thereby elevating cancer rates. A putative class action that once included more than 30,000 residents has now been dismissed with prejudice.
Curd, et al. v. Mosaic Fertilizer. Currently defending Mosaic in a putative class action by commercial fishermen alleging damages purportedly resulting from a release of approximately 65 million gallons of process water from a phosphogypsum stack, which was caused by Hurricane Frances.
Representing Mosaic Fertilizer in a mass tort with over 115 Plaintiffs. The Plaintiffs are commercial fishermen alleging that a chemical release during Hurricane Frances caused them economic damages
reputational harm. Anderson, et al. v. Mosaic Fertilizer is a follow-on case that was filed after decertification of the putative class in Curd et al. v. Mosaic Fertilizer.
Confidential Client. Represented a public entity in a high-stakes action against a peer-to-peer company who has developed an industry-disrupting marketplace. Our client asserted that the efficiencies of their operations could have been undermined by the introduction of unregulated commercial activities. We negotiated a settlement for our client that allows the safe operations of the peer-to-peer company without compromising the operations of our client.
Confidential Client. Currently defending a financial institution's directors
officers in an action alleging they engaged in a plan to improve their equity position at the expense of the Plaintiffs
to sell the institution for a large profit.
Confidential Client. Represented a client in the manufacturing industry in a multi-state federal criminal investigation concerning alleged violations of the Resource Conservation
Recovery Act (RCRA).
