ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
I grew up in the Miami Ft. Lauderdale area among an increasingly large Latin American immigrant community. I attended the University of Florida where I graduated Cum Laude and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Minor degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies. During that time I also studied abroad at the Universidad Internacional Menendez Palayo in Santander, Spain where I became proficient in both spoken and written Spanish. I received my law degree from the Florida State University College of Law in 2012 where I graduated Cum Laude.
I realized my desire to practice Immigration and Nationality law while in law school, where I completed courses in Immigration and Nationality Law and Advanced topics in immigration. During my last year of law school I completed a year long clinical program at the FSU Public Interest Law Center where I represented clients in immigration proceedings on political asylum claims before the Orlando Immigration Court.
Prior to joining Maney & Gordon I practiced family and immigration law in both the non-profit and private sector . During that time I litigated divorce and child custody cases and assisted victims of crime and domestic violence in legalizing their immigration status by preparing visa applications for U-nonimmigrant status and VAWA. I joined Maney & Gordon, P.A. in October 2014 as an Associate Attorney in its Tampa office, and represent the firm's clients in all areas of Immigration law, including family immigration, asylum, immigration litigation (deportation and removal defense) and humanitarian visas for victims of crime.
I was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2012, and am a member of the Manatee County Bar, and American Immigration Lawyers Association where I serve as the New Members Division co-chair for the Central Florida Chapter.
