About Mr. Christopher Ligori

Mr. Ligori has been practicing law since 1994 and is one of the few attorneys in Florida to have tried over 100 jury trials to verdict. He prides himself on aggressively litigating and pursuing his clients' claims, as well as treating all clients and their cases, regardless of the size, with the same respect and diligence.
Mr. Ligori has routinely been asked and has given lectures to other lawyers across the State of Florida and in other states about a variety of legal issues. He considers it one of the highest honors an attorney can receive to be asked by his peers to speak before their colleagues and help educate them about legal issues and strategy.
In March 2012 Mr. Ligori spoke at the Work Horse Seminar which deals with all areas of personal injury practice. The seminar is attended by hundreds of lawyers throughout the state and the speakers are some of the most respected and widely recognized experts in their field. Mr. Ligori was asked to speak regarding the complex issue of exculpatory causes, Florida's child waiver statute and assumption of the risk defenses. He has extensive experience with these areas due to his practice in the numerous death and other serious injury cases he has handled and litigated.
Mr. Ligori has been AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell which is the highest rating an attorney can receive. In order to obtain this rating, Martindale-Hubbell conducts an extensive investigation of an attorney's peers regarding their legal knowledge, integrity, skill and professionalism. Mr. Ligori received the highest marks in response to Martindale-Hubbell's inquiry and he considers it an honor to be AV rated.
Mr. Ligori has been fighting for the rights of victims his entire legal career and handled thousands of cases. Many of the cases have involved catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injuries, broken bones, herniated discs, RSD, injuries to the knee, shoulder or wrist, other injuries and mass tort cases such as defective drugs, medical devices, BP Oil Spill cases and Libor Manipulation cases.
Mr. Ligori also has achieved numerous verdicts, judgments and settlements well above the defendant's policy limits. In one case he handled, the insurance company paid $5 million to his client when the defendant's policy limits was only $10,000. Additionally, he has handled many other cases that resolved for 70 to 80 times the policy limits of the defendant.
Currently, Mr. Ligori handles cases that arise out of auto accidents, motorcycle accidents, premises liability, slip or trip and falls, negligent security, products liability, defective drugs, BP Oil Spill and Libor Manipulation claims.
Mr. Ligori is currently a member of the Florida Justice Association, regarded as the premier trial lawyer organization for the State of Florida and where:

Mr. Ligori is a Tampa native who graduated from the University of Florida in 1990 with a degree in Political Science and an area of specialization in the Spanish language. He also attended the prestigious University of Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain in order to further his education in Spanish literature and art. He graduated from Nova Southeastern University Law School in 1994, where he served as an officer for several student organizations and was actively involved in the workings of the law school.
After passing the Florida Bar, he then joined the Office of the State Attorney for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County as an assistant state attorney. Mr. Ligori was promoted to the position of lead trial attorney in the felony trial division and tried numerous high profile and complicated cases including DUI manslaughter, attempted murder of a law enforcement officer, armed robbery, aggravated assault and aggravated battery.
Mr. Ligori left the state attorney's office, joined an insurance defense firm and later started his own law firm which solely represents victims of accidents. Hired Attorney Mr. Christopher Ligori

I hired him in 2007 after I was rear ended in a car crash the insurance company did everything they could to low ball me and drag this case out over 6 years but Mr. Ligori was there the whole time I final got my day in court and let me tell you he was prepared. His Associate Chad Pilon was AWESOME the paralegals were there every step of the way. By the end of the trial I was in awe of the job they did and knew the the Insurance company was no match for the Ligori team.

Hired Attorney Mr. Christopher Ligori

We called multiple times after a fall accident involving the county. We were advised they would review the case and let us know if they would take it. After 4 weeks we can not even get the courtesy of a response even though we respectfully asked if they would please let us know either way.
