Brian Hohman is a Partner at Butler. Since joining the firm in 2011, he has practiced litigating arson and fraud, coverage defense, and extra-contractual matters. In addition, he has extensive experience in premises liability coverage and third-party liability.
After graduating with honors from Florida State University in 1999, Brian went on to study at Creighton University School of Law. He graduated with his Juris Doctor in 2004, cum laude.
Before joining Butler, Brian served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit for over three years. During that time, he rose to the level of Felony Assistant State Attorney, where he tried over 30 jury trials and managed a number of important cases. Brian is also a five-time recipient of the Misdemeanor Attorney of the Month.
After serving at the State Attorney’s office, Brian went on to practice in the areas of insurance defense, automobile liability, construction, civil rights, and criminal defense. Since joining Butler, he has handled a number of complex and specialized case types, including excess coverage, property insurance, and fraud.
