Benjamin Fresby is a Senior Associate in our Tampa Office . He practices extra-contractual claims and coverage defense. Benjamin focuses on representing insurance carriers in the defense of extra-contractual litigation, coverage disputes, and the management of pre-suit claims.
Benjamin was born and raised in Florida and is a native of the Tampa Bay area. He attended the University of South Florida and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration in 2015. After graduating from USF, Benjamin began working in nursing home administration, exposing him to long-term care and short-term subacute rehabilitation administration. In 2020, Benjamin earned his Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law .
While attending Stetson, Benjamin received the award for Best Overall Argument in his class. In addition, he received the Whele Award for achieving the highest grade in Trial Advocacy. He was recognized as the top trial advocate in his graduating class. In addition to his advocacy awards, Ben gained experience through his participation in several externships, including the Convictions Review Unit with the Office of the State Attorney for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, where he reviewed petitions and claims of factual innocence; the Prosecution Clinic with the Office of the State Attorney for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, where he handled misdemeanor and felony cases under the guidance of Assistant State Attorneys; and the Federal Judicial Externship, where he worked under the Honorable Judge Sansonne.
Benjamin Fresby is also a member of the Florida Bar .
