Hired Attorney

hired Laura in 2018 for my case against my ex-husband. The case started off well, and got initial payments started. Complications from COVID stalled things, and I have been trying to finish for 5 years. Communication has been terrible since 2020. I would call and/or email for updates and it could be months before a response would be sent. I would supply all documents and information requested. More weeks would go by before a response would come back. The response, when received, would be an excuse that they have been busy, then asking for more of the same information and sometimes stating that documents for a hearing would be sent the next day. Most recently, I have been waiting for nearly a month, calling every few days and leaving a message as no one answered. I haven't received a return call or email, nor the mentioned documents. Definitely did not get the service for her retainer. My case hasn't even had its first hearing, let alone completed. She cancelled the first hearing.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
