With more than 20 years of trial experience, Jared Ausserer is driven by the belief that too many people accused of crimes receive inadequate representation. A Pierce County native, he attended Seattle University School of Law and completed a two‑year internship in the juvenile division of the Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office, then accepted a position as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney. Over a nearly twenty‑year career at that office—serving under three elected prosecutors—Jared distinguished himself with exceptional trial skills and strategic thinking, earning faster promotions than any peer in the more‑than‑100‑attorney office. He served as Team Chief of the Special Assault Unit, coordinating with law enforcement, revising countywide protocols, and training nurses, caseworkers, and police. Promoted to Homicide Division Chief, he oversaw every homicide and death investigation and worked with state and federal partners. As Chief Criminal Deputy he supervised the entire Criminal Division. Combined with rotations as DUI Supervisor and in robbery, assault, and gang units, Jared’s experience gives him rare insight and an advantage in defending clients’ rights.
