I was a prosecutor for 15 years for the cities of Kent and Seattle. I serve or have served as a pro tem judge for the cities of Kent, Federal Way, Des Moines, Algona/Pacific and Issaquah. Since 2011 I have practiced as a defense attorney doing criminal defense, civil rights restoration, and protection order litigation. I represent individuals on cases from murder in the first degree to traffic infractions.

Hired Attorney Derek Smith

Derek was a great attorney to work with on my case. Was looking forward to going to trial, but the prosecutor asked for the case to be dismissed with predjudice.

I initially typed a long paragraph, but this website does not allow me to submit more than 500 characters. It would take more than 500 characters to describe the excellent service Derek provides! I was charged with a serious felony, and because of him, I am fully acquitted and have my life and future back. It is a SMART decision to hire Derek if you are facing a difficult situation.
