Maria has extensive experience in handling all phases of complex civil litigation in both federal and state court, including managing multi-million dollar litigation from the initial stages of discovery to resolution. Maria has litigated a diverse caseload throughout her career, including complex multi-party litigation, products liability, toxic tort, general litigation, construction matters, and complex commercial litigation. She has represented two of the largest worldwide pharmaceutical companies in complex mass tort litigation in nationwide multidistrict litigations and state court proceedings. Maria has also represented a Fortune 500 company in a constitutional challenge to the validity of a section of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act.
Maria graduated valedictorian from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, receiving an M.S. in Environmental Science in 2001. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from The George Washington University Law School graduating with honors.
