Badgley’s deep cynicism and lack of empathy significantly skew his perspective on women and mothers. His favoritism towards husbands often comes at the expense of mothers and wives, making him unqualified as an arbitrator. In situations where a mother’s love and commitment are evident, he will side with an ex-husband—even one with a troubling character, such as an abusive alcoholic or a drug addict. Badgley’s indifference to women’s struggles has serious consequences for those seeking justice, highlighting the dangers of allowing someone like him to influence critical family matters. The harsh truth is that he simply does not care about the welfare of women and children in these matters. Please don’t use him because the reality of using him is very bleak. Badgley remains indifferent to the struggles and sacrifices of women, and his indifference has far-reaching consequences for those seeking justice. Badgley abuses his power, negatively impacting the lives of mothers and children.

Mr Badgley was the arbitrator at my divorce as well and he was also very unprofessional as he did not look at any facts. Come to find out that he was very close to my ex wifes attorney and swayed more in her favor. He and Starla should be barred from law as they both lie lie lie!

He was the mediator for my divorce. Run if you are a woman. I lost my life savings that my husband took and he called me a liar. Stated I was a nurse, go get a job. I am 65 years and retired, my Ex was a journeyman at GM and a veteran legal clerk, Retired. My Ex lives a life of leisure while I had to go back to work to live. He told me his wife has to pay her ex and I should be happy he isn’t ordering that! So bias towards women. He talked to my ex but he would make statements like, your a nurse and you might have covid19 while picking up a signed piece of paperwork to not have to get germs. So humiliating to women and Nurses.

I was the target of constant verbal abuse, bigotry and discriminatory behavior during mediation sessions by Robert Badgely. He is a bigot and a racist, who constantly discriminated against me because of who I am and represents. I was subjected to psychological pressure, intimidation, and humiliation by Badgely. I did not understand any questions asked of me properly, and I responded under duress while being in a state of shock. Since he recorded the last 10 mins of one of my sessions, that constitutes ample evidence in support of my claim. When he was challenged on his behavior, his excuse was that “I am too old for all that”. He is a bigot and a racist, and I would not be surprised if he did the same with other individuals. I have already reported him to ACLU and Michigan bar council. This bigot does not deserve to be any platform.

worked as both the mediator and arbitrator on my divorce case. The first time I was in mediation with him, he was condescending, rude, and lied to me. He tried to pressure me to agree. I am a domestic violence survivor and when I walked out of there, I felt re-traumatized. When he served as arbitrator in my case, he continuously gave my ex-husband extension after extension, despite court orders being clear on the amount of time he had to reply. For whatever reason, he was clearly 100% biased.

Robert was a mediator for my divorce. Had no concern I was abused for years by my husband and that my husband lied about assets he had and were proven later.

Mr. Badgley does not respond to communications, has a high conflict of interest as his wife is a Probate Judge in the Court where he represents clients, and she is friends with the Judge under which he holds cases. It is a huge downside.
