Michael E. Lyons (“Mike”) is the managing attorney at Patriots Law Group and brings over a decade of broad legal experience to his leadership role. He launched his legal career in 2007 in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, handling complex litigation across diverse areas, including construction defects, real estate, contracts, family law, and criminal matters. In 2010, Mike continued his family’s military tradition, joining the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps, and was commissioned on September 11, 2010. Stationed at Yokota Air Base, Japan, and later deployed to Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom, Mike tackled military justice issues and contributed to rebuilding the Afghan legal system. As Chief of Military Justice at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, he led high-profile prosecutions and oversaw major criminal cases. Mike transitioned to private practice in 2014, founding his own firm before leading Patriots Law Group. An accomplished litigator in both military and civil arenas, Mike is also a frequent presenter on military law topics and continues to serve in the Air Force Reserves. His distinguished military service includes honors such as the Bronze Star and Meritorious Service Medal.
