Four of the firm's attorneys are certified by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization. In addition to the practice of law, the firm's attorneys are involved extensively in civic, business and political organizations and activities.
In 1997 we were fortunate to find Steve Wood and this firm. Our initial activity was for wills etc. Most recently it has been estate planning and a Trust creation. Additionally, we have been successfully advised by other professionals in the firm on issues ranging from Martin County law to Elder Care planning and its implementation. The knowledge, professionalism, cooperation, and friendliness of all in the firm cannot be over emphasized. In May of 2021 I lost my beloved daughter unexpectedly and suddenly to a brain aneurism. I found myself in Florida alone and devastated. I knew no attorneys..no law firms. I initially contacted Ms. VanValkenburgh with thoughts that my divorce would not fully go through and to redo legal paperwork I did through an online company. Unfortunately, the marriage was indeed headed to a full messy divorce. To say I was on a roller coaster of emotions was an understatement. I wanted things done fast and over with but the legal system just doesn't work that way. Jessica managed my expectations expertly through the emotions and provided well written thorough responses on all matters. There is a very good feeling when you enter a mediation and the mediator is happy Jessica is there because they know the job is done right. I have an elderly parent in Stuart, she needed medicaid help and a year later a divorce. I have been the contact person throughout both issues and cannot say enough in high praise of their performance as counsel and equally people who cared. We've felt from the beginning my mother and I were your only clients. Working through the full blown covid added to the stress all of us endured, however, both attorney's and support staff made it work, even meeting us in the parking lot to keep things moving. All too often lately i feel covid has become a crutch or excuse , not with this firm. Id recommend this firm to anyone needing legal help specifically elder and domestic law.
