Barry is a great attorney who will fight for you and your children. He’s very knowledgeable in this area and you want someone like this in your corner. He’s a no holds bard type of attorney who doesn’t sugar coat, he tells you like it is. Divorce isn’t an easy process, but he stays on top of your case and is highly regarded by others. You want someone who doesn’t promise you the world but is realistic and meets all his promises.

Barry is an amazing attorney. He is very experienced in family court as well as the psychology that goes with it a crazy ex. I had a high conflict divorce and my ex tried to alienate my daughter. She tried every trick to ruin me (false restraining order for domestic abuse, lying to the judges, stealing assets, threats of violence by her new BF and her family). I dismissed two previous attorneys for wasting time and money and I successfully represented myself for a little while but I realized I needed extra help to finalize the divorce properly. Barry knows the system, tactics, other attorneys and how to play the game to win. I was able to get the divorce finalized with a very fair deal.. He also helped me get my custody rights restored and end the nightmare. I now enjoy my freedom away from my toxic ex and I see my daughter regularly. She and I can now heal from what her mother tried to do to us. NEVER give up on your children no matter what happens. Thank you Barry!

As a child and a divorced proceeding I would not recommend this attorney I did not have an attorney to represent me during the divorce proceeding which I should have been entitled to and my parents were supposed to pay for but I will say that this is a severe Injustice

This lawyer failed his obligation according to his own contract. He did not get me the divorce he promised. I had to keep paying him more and more money and when I didn't have any more he wasn't willing to wait or receive reasonable payments. He terminated our contract from representing me and left me hanging where I had to hire another lawyer, by borrowing money, to start all over again. Barry Cohen was unprofessional many times, belligerent, manipulative, lashing out and degrading me with his theories of my mental health. I didn't pay him for his opinions of my mental well being or not well being. I paid him to get me divorced & the MC Bar Assoc appeased me with the only lawyers available, who actually know him, to fight for my retainer back, have rejected my complaint. Should I have expected anything honest when dealing with Barry Cohen and his 30+ years of seniority in town? Don't trust Barry Cohen. He's only good to use his knowledge of the law to cheat you out of your money.
