Carl A. Glad was raised in Stratford, Connecticut. His parents are life-long residents of the town and he decide to return to his home town to raise his two young children. Prior to that, he served in various positions in Washington, D.C, including as a lobbyist, on Capitol Hill, and at a think-tank. Attorney Glad has always been an active member of his community.
