Hired Law Firm

This law firm was used to facilitate the sale of property in my parents estate and while the sale did go through they made many mistakes on the legal documents and the legal description of the property. The mistakes involved the legal spelling of names and left off 40 acres of land on the original sales paperwork. Attorney Mooney overcharged for the transaction and was not my attorney. Attorney Mooney charged me by the hour for researching an issue on the property that I never asked him to research to which I already had the answer for if he would have asked. How can an attorney charge an hourly rate when you did not hire him as your attorney to represent you? That is a huge question, he also did not provide a breakdown for his alleged hours of work that he was never hired to research. The monies were taking out at closing. Not happy with this law firm.
