Steve Olczyk is a seasoned attorney with more than 20 years of experience in criminal defense, with a strong focus on traffic and DUI matters. Over the course of his career, Steve has handled thousands of traffic and DUI cases—from routine moving violations to complex DUI charges—earning a reputation for his strategic approach, thorough preparation, and effective courtroom advocacy. He regularly represents clients in hearings, plea negotiations, and both bench and jury trials, ensuring each client receives dedicated, prompt, and individualized attention. Steve has practiced law in several counties across Illinois including Cook, Will, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, McHenry, Boone, Winnebago, Lake, Dekalb, Ogle, and LaSalle County.
In 2003, Steve earned his Juris Doctorate from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. Shortly after graduating, he began his legal career at the law firm of Peter Francis Geraci, where he practiced bankruptcy law. This early experience gave him valuable insight into the financial and personal challenges clients often face and strengthened his commitment to providing practical, supportive legal representation.
Except for a short stint in bankruptcy, the majority of Steve’s legal experience has centered around traffic and DUI matters but also criminal offenses of all levels, personal injury, family law and secretary of state hearings. His extensive knowledge of law with his strong background in traffic and DUI defense allows him to navigate complex laws, challenge evidence effectively, and pursue the best possible outcomes for his clients.
Steve is dedicated, experienced, and client-focused; he brings a high level of professionalism and advocacy to every case. He is proud to serve as part of our legal team and looks forward to helping clients move forward with confidence.
