Robert Boedeker received his license in 2011 and has been practicing family law since then, including 8 years as the supervising attorney of the family law department at Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, Inc. from 2017 to 2025. In July 2025, he returned to the private sector to join the Center for Family Law as an attorney of counsel. He gained valuable litigation experience at Legal Services but is glad to be doing again the mediation and guardian ad litem work he also did before moving there. He focuses his practice on divorce and paternity cases, child custody and child support cases, motions to modify, orders of protection and mediation in St. Louis County, St. Louis City, St. Charles County, and Jefferson County.
After graduating from St. Louis University School of Law in 2011, he offered family law and mediation services at US Legal Solutions, LLC, an immigration and civil firm in St. Louis County, until 2015 when he joined St. Louis' legal aid office.
Robert has a background in public interest work. In law school he was recognized after his first year as a Sonnenschein Public Service Scholar and received the school's Public Service Award at graduation for his work with the legal clinics. Before law school, he lived in West Africa doing humanitarian relief work with Jesuit Refugee Service and in North St. Louis City helping run a shelter for homeless women and children. In 2003 he graduated from Coe College as a dual-major with a BA in French and Sociology. Robert was born and raised mostly in St. Louis City and currently resides in North St. Louis County with his wife and three young children.
