Since establishment in 1968, McSweeney, Slater & Merz has concentrated its practice in the area of Civil Litigation, representing plaintiffs in a broad range of personal injury actions and both plaintiffs and defendants in other types of litigation.
The firm is composed of a group of attorneys with extensive experience in a broad range of Personal Injury Litigation, including Medical Malpractice, Wrongful Death, Auto Accidents, Products Liability, Nursing Home Abuse, and Work-Related injuries. Our members include a healthcare professional, who is also a practicing litigation attorney, with extensive experience in the evaluation of medical care, medical records, and the nature and extent of injuries. Various members of the firm also have experience in other areas such as Business and Contract Litigation, Domestic Relations Litigation, and Estate and Probate matters.
Our firm operates as a legal team, and each client receives the benefit of the combined knowledge and experience of all firm members. We also maintain working relationships with outside experts in various fields whom we consult on a regular basis as necessary in individual cases.
A substantial part of the firm's litigation practice consists of referrals from other attorneys and law firms, both within and outside the State of Missouri, and the firm frequently acts as associate or local counsel in Trial and Appellate Courts.
