After graduating from WashU Law, Joe joined the Army JAG Corps, where he was hand-picked to start his career as a trial attorney. He spent years as a prosecutor at Fort Polk, handling everything from first-degree murder to complex sexual offenses, and even served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney. But Joe found his true calling in defense. While stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, he defended hundreds of soldiers, securing eight full acquittals in less than two years on charges ranging from attempted murder to DUIs. He later served as a state prosecutor in Christian County, giving him an insider’s look at how the government builds a case. This mix of military discipline, prosecution experience, and civil litigation knowledge makes him a powerhouse in federal and state courts. Joe uses that deep well of experience to anticipate the tactics the other side will use before they even think of them, ensuring his clients get a defense that is as strategic as it is aggressive.
