Alan G. Pirtle received his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University in 1987 and his law degree from Saint Louis University in 1991. He is licensed to practice law in state and federal courts in Illinois and Missouri having tried cases before juries in both states.Over more than 25 years, Alan has recovered several millions of dollars for his injured clients in automobile, trucking, product liability, nursing home neglect, medical malpractice, and premises liability personal injury and wrongful death cases.
Alan Pirtle is a member of the Top Trial Lawyers in America’s prestigious Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the even more prestigious Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Less than one (1) percent of lawyers in the United States have been inducted into both of these forums. Other successful trial lawyers inducted Alan into the National Trial Lawyers’ Top 100 Personal Injury Lawyers Group and the National Trial Lawyers’ Top 10 Trucking Lawyers Group.
An advisory board of trial lawyers has designated Alan Pirtle as a “Leading Lawyer” in the fields of general personal injury law, transportation injury law, professional malpractice law, and nursing home negligence.
Alan Pirtle has been a guest lecturer at continuing legal education seminars for lawyers with the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the National Business Institute, and the St. Clair County Bar Association.
In addition to working full-time as a lawyer, from 2004 to 2014, Alan Pirtle was the chairman of the Democratic Party in Monroe County, Illinois. From 2008 to 2014, he was unanimously elected president of the Illinois Democratic County Chairman’s Association (ILDCCA), a statewide political organization consisting of the Democratic county chairmen of all 102 counties in Illinois. Alan served as a delegate for President Barack Obama at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. In 2010, the national political magazine, Politics, named Alan Pirtle one of the 40 most influential Democrats in the entire State of Illinois.
