Dan led me to believe that I had a strong case for sole custody of my two-year-old son in my divorce and custody case. I had serious concerns about my son’s safety because his father was an alcoholic. In mediation, Dan brought up several incidents, and the mediator said they couldn’t be considered for custody. He seemed as though he had no idea what could and couldn’t be used. He advised me that I should agree to 50/50 custody because the judge could take custody from me for “being difficult”. For six years my son experienced abuse and neglect in his father’s care. His father died in a motorcycle crash in 2024; his BAC was .33. My child could have had a different life, if I had received proper legal counsel.
