We came to Debbie with our daughter whom was getting a divorce. We had somewhat of a odd arrangement request with her daughter. Debbie let us know it would be a hard case but was willing to take it on. As our daughter went through each step of the divorce process, Debbie was always there to help her with her questions rather it be responses or understanding. On the day of the divorce, we basically got what we were asking for and was thrilled with the outcome. She worked very hard for us!
She does not actually care about your case. At one point I asked her to fight for an agreement my ex's attorney had send me but they denied making the agreement. Her response? They say they never agreed to it...I was holding their printed out email with their agreement in my hand! Horrible communication, does not take clients serious. She is more concerned about getting paid than your case.
Debbie ignored all of my emails and cancelled all of my meetings with her. Assured me we would win. I lost. Her mistakes cost me $5k in addition to her $7k fees. I filed a complaint with the Bar and am awaiting arbitration. Do NOT use her unless you want to be completely ignored and feel totally unrepresented.
DO NOT HIRE!!! Horrible communication and terrible customer service.
I hired Ms Tomich as a divorce attorney because I met her a few times previously as the spouse of a close co-worker. After 11 months and over $6,400 of attorney fees (32 billable hours), the only value Ms Tomich provided was a draft MSA. Ultimately my case was dismissed by the judge and I was back at square 1. This is unacceptable in a dissolution case involving only assets and no children.
