George L. Acosta is the principal attorney of Acosta & Associates, focusing on civil and commercial litigation. With a career spanning over 25 years, he has represented clients in a broad spectrum of cases, including wrongful death, catastrophic injury, product liability, and complex commercial litigation. Mr. Acosta’s national practice includes notable experience in Major League Baseball arbitration, personal injury defense for a national grocery chain, and both trial and appellate advocacy. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and in federal district courts across Illinois. Licensed in Illinois and Minnesota, he has successfully represented clients before Illinois' First and Second District Appellate Courts.
Beyond his litigation practice, Mr. Acosta is committed to community service. He has served on the boards of the DuPage County Bar Foundation, CASA of DuPage County, and the Cuban Lutheran Fellowship. He is actively involved in youth mentorship programs through Urban Youth Ministries. A fluent Spanish speaker, he is the son of Cuban immigrant physicians. Mr. Acosta resides in St. Charles with his wife. Together, they have five grown children (their youngest passed away in 2022). He holds a B.A. in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Illinois and earned his J.D. from Loyola University Law School.
