As an attorney, I focus on obtaining the best results for my clients, whether through trial, negotiation or settlement. I strive to be a trustworthy advocate for my clients, in and out of court. With a primary focus on criminal defense law, I have handled hundreds of criminal and traffic defense cases, representing clients charged with nearly every kind of serious felony and misdemeanor offenses, such as murder, armed robbery, rape, and malicious wounding, as well as drug charges, DUI/DWI and assault and battery. In addition, I have noted numerous appeals to the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Virginia. Other practice experience includes divorce, custody, visitation, warrants in debt and detinue, contract disputes and landlord/tenant cases. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Richmond in 2004, I completed my Juris Doctor at the University of Richmond’s T.C. Williams School of Law in 2007. I focus on handling criminal defense cases, as well as some domestic relations and other civil matters, in Stafford, Spotsylvania and the greater Fredericksburg area courts as well as Prince William County. I have also appeared regularly in the Courts of Petersburg, Colonial Heights, Chesterfield, Richmond, Henrico, King George and Westmoreland. I work hard to ensure that I stay current in the areas of law which are my focus. I am certified with the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission as a court-appointed defense attorney for misdemeanor and felony cases. I have also attended several of the VIDC’s annual Advanced Criminal Defense workshops, as well as the qualifying course for represeting defendants charged with capital murder. In addition, I am a certified guardian ad litem for children, and attend continuing education courses for various family law matters.
