My sister had Power of Attorney. I discovered her embezzling mother's money. I couldn't get anyone in the family to acknowledge this was elder abuse. Brian's first remark when I told him the story was, "That's illegal." Sigh of relief!! And then, "You've got to come to Spokane (from Seattle) TOMORROW and come directly to our office. We'll have the paperwork ready: your sister has to sign over the PofA to you." BOOM. Such relief to find support! The crime was ''embezzling."
