About Pete Skvicalo

Pete Skvicalo is Black Hills through and through. Born and raised right here, he has a deep-seated understanding of the values and the way of life in western South Dakota. Before he ever stepped into a courtroom, Pete spent over fifteen years leading businesses in the Spearfish area. That time in management taught him how to be a straight shooter and how to keep a cool head when the stakes are high. He eventually took that practical mindset to the Mitchell Hamline School of Law and then into the Pennington County State’s Attorney’s office. As a former prosecutor, Pete knows exactly how the other side builds a case, which is a huge advantage for his clients today. Whether he’s navigating a complex legal issue or enjoying the South Dakota outdoors, Pete stays committed to the community he calls home. He is not just an attorney; he is a neighbor who knows how to get things done with clarity and confidence.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*
