Hired Attorney

Gave him $500 retainer for a simple uncontested no property no children divorce in July 2022 with promises divorce would be final late Jan or Feb 2023. As of Oct 2023 no divorce. No response from regarding it. I filed a claim with the state bar and with the Dispute of fee Board, which I have not heard from either. But I was told it could take up to 6 months. I guess I will chalk it up that he’s desperate for money and have come up with a scheme as an attorney to become a swindler instead. I only choose knowledgeable because it would not let me submit without a choice and none of the others were a be
