Steven J. Matz’s concentration is in motor vehicle law, with an emphasis on traumatic brain injury. He is a 1974 graduate of the University of Michigan where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree with high distinction and highest honors. In 1977, he earned his Juris Doctor degree from The George Washington University National Law Center. Mr. Matz is a member of the Bar of Michigan, Colorado, Texas, and Washington, D.C. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, Oakland County Mediation Tribunal, and the Michigan Attorney Discipline Board as a Hearing Panel Chairman. He has been appointed by the Michigan Supreme Court as a Master. Mr. Matz lectures and publishes in ethics, marketing, client counseling, trial tactics, head injury, and legal research and writing. “The purpose of liability law,” says Mr. Matz, “is to fairly compensate an individual for loss in personal injury.
