Stephen Miller's practice focuses on estate planning elder law, trust and estate administration and guardianship law. Steve regularly drafts Wills, Revocable Trusts, Special Needs Trusts, Insurance Trusts, Power of Attorney Designations, Healthcare Directives and other documents related to estate planning.
Steve has extensive experience representing high net worth individuals as well as clients with less significant resources. Whether focusing on multigenerational trust and estate tax planning, selecting the best available trustee or best guardian for a minor child, Steve works with his clients to create an estate plan specifically tailored to meet their needs. Steve takes a proactive and preventative law view of estate planning and works to minimize possible future conflicts that often arise in estate work after the death of the testator or grantor.

His Master's Degree in Psychology Counseling enhances his ability to deal with the contentious disputes that often arise in guardianship and probate cases. Steve successfully serves as guardian for multiple clients, including both elderly and disabled wards.
In addition to his work at the law firm, Steve develops and teaches legal education courses in the Vermont correctional system, is an adjunct faculty member at Champlain College, Burlington, Vermont
( Wills and Trusts, Evidence and is presently developing a course on prisoner rights) and currently serves as a board member of NFI, Vermont, a mental health agency that serves the needs of adolescents and their families throughout the State.
