Shedlak & Benchik Law Firm LLP is a law firm with an office in South Bend, IN. At this office location, there are 2 lawyers practicing business litigation, real estate, land use and 13 other areas of law.
I engaged C. Shedlak to represent my business in a trademark/intellectual property lawsuit. I had to actually hire another firm because Mr. Shedlak became missing in action. Communication with me was non-existent and he actually missed deadlines and hearing dates. The one time he was present for a hearing, he barely bothered to ask any questions of the individual I was suing or other witnesses. I had to actually pass him notes and get him to even do much of anything or engage. He just came across as completely unprepared and uninterested. His firm was recommended to me by a previous client of his, but even that client has left to seek more competent counsel elsewhere. I don't know what his deal was, but he was of no use to me in my case. He seemed more interested in being opposing counsel's friend! They actually stood around during a recess chatting with the judge about a recent trip to the comic book store where they ran into one another! I would not recommend him!
