Leave a review about your experience with this lawyer.Mr. Murphy is very easy to talk to and helpful. He has a sense of humor and put us at ease while we spoke. I would recommend him to anyone with questions about elder law.
Too expensive, difficult to talk to, usually have to deal with a paralegal
He does not return phone calls promptly or in this case at all. His prices for South Bend, Indiana are big city prices without the expertise.
We so regret hiring Murphy Elder Law to manage probate for our mother's will/estate. We selected them over cheaper alternatives due to positive word of mouth. It has been such a slog trying to get any kind of information and/or response from them. Emails and phone calls go ignored. Furthermore, additional expenses were applied, despite an initial cost agreement. If you are looking for a lawyer who will help make one of the most difficult times of your life more manageable, please look elsewhere.
i have been working with Michael Murphy for at least 1 year or more - i have had 3-4 meetings with him. i met 2-3 months ago with him to have him do my will.... he said he would call me in 2 weeks. i never heard from him... i have called his office 5-7 times and no one returns my call. you cannot soeak to anyone and noone returns your call. i have been seeing him about my brother who i care for. He told me to call him if anything would happen to my brother.... how am i suposed to call him?????
This firm is awful. Did not return calls or emails. Never responded to requests for conference call with all family members. We gave them the case in October 2019 and in the first response we got from the firm, in Feb. 2020, they had yet to begin work on our matter. Our case is simple and straight-forward and should have taken a couple of months, at most, to resolve. However, after we notified them that one of the siblings that was set to receive part of the inheritance had passed away, they responded and inquired about where her paperwork should be sent. They clearly were not reading our correspondence and only began to respond after a strongly worded email. Once we responded pointing out that they asked about our recently deceased sister, which we had informed them about, did they stop responding all together. We have fired them and are securing a new attorney. Not sure if they are completely immoral or incredibly lazy.
