A civil practice for all

As a general civil practice, we handle all types of cases - but more specifically, what we do is help people to solve problems and resolve conflicts. Human beings are social animals, needing to interact with one another. We will represent your interests in court, and we'll really get a sense of who you are as a person and what caused the issue in the first place. Only then can we provide truly effective counsel.

Experience matters

One of the most important assets a good attorney will have is courtroom-tested experience. When your finances, your family, your home and your future are on the line, you want someone who has been there before and knows the lay of the land.

Robert A. Spence is AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell® - the highest recognition possible in the legal industry - for his professionalism and ethics.

As of May 1, 2013, Attorney Tom Berkau will be joining the firm. With Tom on the team, we will have a combined 78 years' worth of experience. You can put it to use for your legal battle.

With our vast experience in civil litigation, you can rely on us to help resolve even the most complex of cases. We are able to handle more-advanced issues than many other firms because we won't shy away from the hard work and the long nights spent poring over documents, looking for inconsistencies and preparing ourselves to represent you to the best of our abilities

I contacted Spence & Spence, PA when I decided to go from a sole owner to a corporation. The work was done in less than a week for a reasonable price. The attorney advised me well on the differences between a corporation and and LLC.

Mr. Spence was incredibly knowledgable regarding the law as it relates to my case and yet was able to explain the concerns to me in a way that I could understand. I was very satisfied with his services.

I retained Mr. Spence for what I thought was a lot of money and at first was impressed. I was married for nineteen years, had proof of the ex's marital misconduct, and was a stay at home wife/mother. I had to fight Mr. Spence to get me the alimony and child support the ex and I agreed on, for the duration of alimony, and for sole custody. Got all three only for holding to my guns. I still have no idea what happened to the 401k money I was to get half of back in 10/15. My emails are unanswered.

Hired Attorney Robert A. Spence Jr.

in the beginning I thought that he was very good. However I had questions on the "ANSWER" that I wanted to ask and he was busy. He was hard to communicate with over the phone due to each time I called he was with someone. I wanted to litigate the divorce in an absolute resolve but he told me 3 days prior to court date that it was going to be "A SIMPLE DIVORCE" waste of emails, time and money for me
