In 2011, when placed on hospice, my husband had 1 wish, to adopt my 3 adult kids he helped raise. Mrs. Nick had handled some prior legal issues, so he called her. He called all 3 kids to ask if they would allow him to adopt them. They all called him Dad anyway, so they were thrilled. It was Friday before Mardi Gras. Saturday morning, in a blinding rainstorm, Mrs. Nick showed up at the hospital with 3 adult adoption filings for everyone to sign. In order for the judgement to be legal, they had to be signed and ordered by a judge and filed before my husband passed. Monday morning, Lundi Gras, Mrs. Nick hand delivered them to a judge and walked them through the court system. Tuesday morning, she delivered them to us at the hospital. That evening, my husband slipped into a coma. He passed on Ash Wednesday. We are so grateful for Mrs. Nick's help. She went out of her way to honor a man's dying wish. It meant so much to all of us. Thank you Mrs. Tammy
Mrs. Nick has been a God send to me.
