Pepping, Balk, Kincaid & Olson, Ltd. is a law firm established in 1959 with an office in Silvis, IL. At this office location, there are 4 lawyers practicing civil litigation, criminal law, personal injury and 12 other areas of law.
Mr. Balk shared his knowledge with Timeshares, and outlined our options. He recapped for us several times, and NEVER made us feel "less than" as so many professionals do. I never give 5 ⭐️ , but he is definitely the exception! I highly recommend, and will use him for future legal issues.
Attorney Teel was recommended to me by a close friend at church. Attorney Teel was patient and read the whole court proceedings that we had lost prior to Attorney Teel. Severely disappointed in this law firm. Mr. O'Brien is a new attorney & he agreed to take my case. He did little to no research or case work. I poured over the files and gave him specific facts to strengthen my case and knock down my opponent. He didn't present them to the judge or the opposing counsel. Asked for things to be filed & he didn't. He ignored my emails & messages on the regular. I had to chase him down & push him through multiple emails plus calls to his assistant and even his receptionist to urge him not to blow deadlines in the case. When there was an update in the case at the courthouse it me telling him and asking for information. He tried to charge me $150 travel for driving the 8 miles across town. When I sent an offer to the opponent he dragged his feet for days just sending the email. Then when it was time for the counter offer it was too late, 5 minutes before court and not the day before like I offered. I ended up needing to give up thousands$. Don't hire him!
Steve Balk isnt worth 25$ DO NOT choose balk if I was you🙏 I wish I would have listened to the reviews about him not fighting for the goals of the cases of his previous clients because he didn't fight for me AT ALL! His secretary worked harder then balk sending invoices for balk not doing anything Once he got the big down payment he sat back and did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but charge me.. in fact When I set up an appointment IN HIS OFFICE TO show him the evidence he sat across the table in the lawyer's office in SILVIS , and he was POPPING HIS PIMPLES ON HIS ARM , he kept smashing zits on his arm looking down at his arm as I was talking about the case and safety of my daughter.. HE couldn't care less about the case or anything but the money, zits on his arm He DIDN'T SPEAK 5 words for me in COURT. I'm not so sure he knows how to speak in the court room in 2 years he didn't say 5 words to fight for me ... what ajoke Do not choose balk unless u want to flush thousands $$ down the drain
Think twice before using this firm for any estate matters. They don’t complete work within the time frame given and won’t communicate further delay unless you call them, charge for work not hired to perform, give misleading information, and they won’t take any accountability or fix their wrongdoings!!! I’m happily taking my business elsewhere. **The problems listed occurred from multiple legal matters that resulted in a hiring and also just a consultation.**
