I had a very disappointing experience with John Harris and his law firm, Estate Planning for Louisiana, and I would not recommend him to anyone seeking reliable or responsive legal help. I retained Mr. John Harris in August 2022 for a legal matter involving a succession/probate case. John agreed to handle my case for a flat retainer fee of $8,500. Initially, John was responsive; however, that all changed once the check cleared. After I paid the retainer fee and provided all the requested documents, John Harris suddenly became hard to reach and stopped responding to my calls and emails. I had to call from a different number just to get him on the phone, and each time he would provide a different excuse for why he hadn’t been returning my calls or emails. In my dealings with Mr. John Harris, I have paid him $9,000 and received less than two hours of legal consultation. In addition, John lied about filing the petition and charged me for services that were never rendered.
