Baker, born in Denison, Texas (1962), earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1986—top 5% while working full time—and a J.D. from Baylor University School of Law in 1989, where he was a member of the Order of Barristers and Delta Theta Phi. He has practiced insurance defense, maritime, criminal, commercial and antitrust litigation, medical malpractice and injury. Mr. Baker began family law in 1992, opened his Sherman practice in 2002, and is admitted to Texas state courts, Eastern District of Texas, Fifth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
