About Raj Wadhwani

Raj Wadhwani is a founding shareholder of Wadhwani & Shanfeld. He earned his Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law and was named a Board Certified Bankruptcy Specialist by the American Board of Certification in 2009. With more than 27 years of bankruptcy experience, Raj has handled over 15,000 filings for consumers and businesses. In 1998 he helped pilot the Best Case Bankruptcy software used by practitioners nationwide and was the first attorney to electronically file a bankruptcy case in the Central District of California. In addition to bankruptcy and debt settlement, Raj has substantial estate-planning experience. He is admitted to practice in all California state courts and to federal district courts since 1997, including the district courts in New York, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana. Outside work he spends time with his wife and two sons, plays golf, and cheers on the Los Angeles Lakers.

Hired Attorney

Raj presented himself as a very competent bankruptcy attorney, as well as a personable professional. His firm did all the initial paperwork, and provided a payment schedule for his fee, which was fairly simple. Though he could not personally accompany my wife and I at our initial hearing, he sent a capable lawyer from his firm, and everything went smoothly. The online courses we had to take to qualify were easy to access and cheap. We could call his office anytime with questions, and we did.
