Steven is one of the Partners of the law firm. His litigation, business and estate planning knowledge enables him to provide a broad range of legal services to his clients.
Steven prepares estate plans for families of all economic levels, and, also litigates cases related to estates, trusts, wills and guardianships.
For his transactional business clients, Steven handles business formation, franchise start-up and operation, contract drafting, sales, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance issues, buy-sell agreements, employment agreements and contractor agreements.
For his business litigation clients, Steven handles contract enforcement, securities litigation, trade secret litigation, business divorces, and, also other serious business disputes both in court and in arbitration. Steven has assisted with several American Bar Association publications related to employment law and benefits law.
Steven’s work includes advising on or litigating employment issues facing small businesses. This works includes unemployment compensation claims, EEOC/discrimination claims, minimum wage/overtime issues, claims over contractor vs employee status, government audits, non-disclosure agreements, and, non-compete agreements.

Interests
Steven is also a staunch advocate for orphans and children in the foster system. He puts his beliefs into practice, as Steven and his wife, Mary, adopted four children in addition to raising the two children born to them. Steven served for six years as a member of the Board of Directors of Child Advocates of Montgomery County, an organization which provides advocates for children in the foster care system.
