Attorney Yount is very personable, talks in terms that anyone can understand, is well liked in the community, etc.
At my initial consultation, I was happy and felt good with my decision to hire this firm for my divorce. However, after paying thousands of dollars, upfront and in full, my mind was quickly changed. I was informed that my ex would be served with the papers within 7 days, "legal separation" signed off by a judge within approximately 2 months and have my mediation for property division within 6 months. I was satisfied and comfortable with those timeframes. WELL, it was about 4 weeks before my ex was served with the papers. 3 months without hearing any type of updates or court dates, etc. Then finally on month 4, I contacted the firm to let them know I have decided to cancel the divorce and asked to kindly refund my thousands of dollars that I had paid and nothing was ever done (besides the initial papers). I have called numerous times, left numerous messages and not received a call back. I am very disappointed and find them very unprofessional. BBB is my next call.
I signed paperwork back in October, it is now March, and I am waiting for my 4 voicemails to be returned. I called every week for the past 4 weeks straight and get the voicemail each time. No one answers the phone, and no one returns the calls. After paying a significant amount of money, I would expect some communication and professionalism, and I have received none at all. Dissatisfied to say the very least!
