In 2005 I I was charged with trafficking cocaine, I hired Delane Rosemond as my attorney. His cost was very reasonable. He spent time with me to prepare my defense. I ended up losing the case, and was sentenced to 25 years. I’m a black man and the jury was all white, they were not going to let me walk out of that court room as a free man. My case was overturned five years later, I’m now a free man with no criminal record. If Delane had not done such a great job during my trial then I would not have had anything to base my appeal on. I won the appeal because of the work that Delane did during my trial. Delane served me well.
He was only looking out for the money that he would get out of the case. He got more money than we got out of it. My daughter was the one injured but he got the benefits. He got triple of what she got.
Back in 2010 I was going through a divorce and custody battle. I hired him for both. Being a young guy at the time I was making payments to him for I didn’t have the money to pay up front. I was told a price it would cost for both cases. From day one he told me what I was going to get as far as custody. He was right about that, even though I should have and do now have full custody. He didn’t fight, during court got facts messed up and after I had paid what he asked for and then some he continued to ask for more money. I asked for a detailed invoice showing where he had spent the hours to equal the amount I had paid. I never heard from him again and never got the invoice. I had to do all the dirty work of finding all the evidence and hiring a private investigator for him to get me 50/50 custody which he had planned on not asking for more from the beginning and I had to pay child support. very disrespectful and talked to me like I was an idiot.
