Hired Attorney Emily Tsai

I was unhappy with the representation I received during a difficult divorce with another attorney from a different law firm when a friend recommended Emily Tsai. I have three children with my ex-husband. He is a challenging personality on a good day, and he has made it impossible to have a healthy co-parenting relationship. Consequently, I have retained Emily's services in five separate matters and have prevailed every single time. She is both courteous and professional, taking the time to listen while genuinely caring about her clients. I always knew what was going on with my case with current up to date information. I cannot say enough about this woman. I highly recommend Emily Tsai and her fantastic team at the Tsai Law company.

From the start, my experience with Mr. Stockton Dyer Pendergast was disappointing. In our initial call, he failed to offer clear or practical advice for what should have been a straightforward divorce case. His vague and unrealistic suggestions revealed a surprising lack of legal knowledge—yet he still quoted a higher retainer than most experienced attorneys. He talked a lot without saying much of value, wasting an hour of my time. Due to his unprofessionalism, I limited his involvement to only reviewing a draft response I had already prepared. He was quick to take payment and promised timely delivery, but missed the deadline. Worse, his staff exploited the urgency of my case to demand additional fees not covered in our agreement. When I raised the issue, they responded by canceling the contract rather than addressing the problem. I'm not surprised the referring attorney noted he had few clients or that the firm lacks strong reviews—his poor judgment and lack of professionalism now exp

All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*
