Do not hire here. In a nutshell, Nancy is incompetent, unprofessional, uncaring/callous, and lazy. I had reservations about engaging Nancy after my ex-husband’s attorney disclosed that she had previously worked with Nancy. However, after Inquiring with 15+ GALs, I agreed to use Nancy because I was desperate to find a GAL with availability. Suffice to say, this was the wrong choice. Her proposed schedule was moot due to multiple vacations/illnesses, which significantly delayed our /trial so timing difference was insignificant. She is incompetent/lazy/ biased/no compassion/empathy/financially motivated; did not get to know nor meet the kids-she advised after engagment that her contact would be remote; investigation/work product was poor, fees exorbitant/ increased by unnecessary tasks; report was a mess-incorrect statements, etc. no supporting facts/evidence and made no effort to obtain. I represented myself/did not realize the weight given to a GAL report-courts rubber stamp GAL reports
Horrifying outcome, she is extremely prejudiced. The system needs to hold these kinds of attorneys accountable; otherwise, families will be destroyed, and children will experience years of these devastating effects.
