About Aaron J. Wolff

With a unique perspective in the realm of DUI defense, Aaron J. Wolff's legal journey has been marked by distinction and dedication.

A graduate of Emory University in Atlanta in 1995, he pursued his law degree with honors at Seattle University School of Law, attaining it in 1999. His career commenced as a DUI prosecutor, representing the cities of Tukwila and Kirkland with resounding success, effectively handling hundreds of DUI cases.

In 2002, recognizing the need to channel his skills toward advocating for individuals accused of DUIs and other alcohol-related driving offenses, Aaron made a pivotal career choice. Joining the esteemed law firm of Stephen Hayne, he rapidly ascended to become a named partner by 2007. With the establishment of Wolff Defense, his role as a dedicated advocate expanded significantly.

Over 16 years, Aaron invested extensively in honing his expertise in DUI cases. His commitment led him to attend the National College for DUI Defense in 2002 and the Drug Recognition Expert Overview Course in 2004. He earned qualification as an NHTSA-Qualified administrator of the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Further, he underwent specialized training from the manufacturers of the BAC Datamaster, the prevalent breath-testing device in Washington.

Aaron's standing in the legal community is underscored by his role as a featured speaker at the WFCJ's Annual DUI Seminar in 2007, 2009, and 2014. Additionally, he served as the former Chair of the Washington State Bar Association's Criminal Law Section, a pivotal role representing the interests of all criminal law attorneys, where the executive committee boasts a balanced composition of prosecutors and defense attorneys.

Presently, Aaron is affiliated with prominent organizations that uphold the highest standards in the legal field, including the Washington State Bar Association, the National College for DUI Defense, the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Washington Foundation for Criminal Justice, and the Cardozo Society (Advisory Board).

Dedicated not only to his legal career but also to his community, Aaron calls Mercer Island his home, having been raised there. He is a devoted father of three wonderful children. An ardent sports enthusiast, he provided legal counsel to the "Save Our Sonics" organization in 2007 and 2008. When not in the legal arena, Aaron enjoys playing basketball, cycling, and trying his hand at golf.
