Ms. Slaton has represented clients in State and Federal Courts, including the Ninth Circuit and United States Supreme Court for over 25 years.
She has been defense counsel on complex criminal matters such as rape, fraud, extortion, conspiracy, drugs, and organized crime. She has litigated complex family law and custody disputes, and has experience in interstate custody and juvenile court litigation in relation to family law matters. She has also been involved as both plaintiff's and defense counsel on federal discrimination/harassment cases. Her cases have also included complex civil matters, on both plaintiff and defense teams, including multi-million dollar construction defects claims (defense), malpractice professional claims representing governmental interest in civil prosecutions against banks, accounting firms, and law firms, and as defense/plaintiff's counsel in construction defect matters. Consistently through her career, Ms. Slaton has practiced on the appellate level as well. Whether in the trial court or on appeal, Ms. Slaton is a litigator and aggressive advocate for her clients.
