John R. Holliman and Melanie B. Holliman merged their legal practices in 2015 to form Bradford & Holliman. From offices in Scottsboro and Pelham and by video conference, they now serve clients throughout north Alabama. Their practices focus on planning ahead for clients - VA Planning, Estate Planning, Long-Term Care Planning, Asset Protection (including trust planning and business entities), Medicaid Planning & Appeals (asset protection, preparing and submitting the Medicaid application, appeals), Special Needs Trusts, and Probate matters.

Both John and Melanie have been recognized for several years as Top Flight Attorneys by B-Metro magazine and Top Attorneys by Birmingham magazine in various practice areas. They also received the Top 10 Attorney Client Satisfaction award for the Elder Law Division of the American Institute of Legal CounselTM.

John and Melanie are often asked to led CLE courses relating to VA planning, special needs trusts, COVID-19’s impact on government benefits, and estate planning. Both are frequent guest speakers on TV shows in the Birmingham area to discuss legal issues.
