This lawyer oversaw my Grandmother's Estate. While my Grandmother was alive, she drafted subpar documents (which she was paid for), and then upon my Grandmother's death, charged the Estate an inordinate amount to correct the shortcomings SHE had created. If that weren't bad enough, she did not do the requisite due diligence to meet the requirements of her fiduciary obligation in executing her job as the Estate lawyer, which resulted in thousands of dollars being squandered. Additionally, she was not an objective party and consistently used emotion and sympathy requests to resolve factual conflicts that existed. She also created legal back and forth that was completely unnecessary, lengthening the time (3 years!!!) of settling the Estate, thus increasing her pay. This was an Estate that should have been settled within a year. While all of the above may not be illegal, it is certainly unethical. Her behavior was kniving, disingenuous, and shameful. Retain her at your peril.
