Kelly is wonderful to have as a lawyer. She listens to the situation and prepares for the court appearance. She is well prepared, organized, and thinks on her feet in response to the other lawyer.
She was someone I regret hiring. She was constantly talking to the other side and made me feel pressured to agree to her decisions. She would chat with me on the phone and purposely prolong the conversation on non-legal issues (like how to care for my baby) so that she could clock in more time. When I switched to another lawyer, she took a chunk of the retainer away. Very unethical. Please reconsider and do your research first.
Kelly was my lawyer September 27th 2004. I was forced to come in court to handle my divorce by a handwritten subpoenaed by judge Karp during a hurricane evacuation day. There was no one in the courtroom, except Judge Karp, Kelly E. Miller, my husband's attorney.. George Terry Hubbard, my ex-husband and his gay lover. The judge allowed my ex-husband to get on the stand and totally trash me. And then the judge recessed for lunch. When Court resumed I learned that the judge had sent home all of the witnesses that were supposed to be there to help me prove my case, judge Karp had previously thrown out the charges that I had filed against my ex-husband for using his fist to beat my two little boys my 4 & my 6 year old son's. I was approached by my attorney Kelly E Miller who informed me, that we were going to settle out of court and that I was only going to get $900 a month, a minivan, and my three children. Kelly has enjoyed favor from the judge for the last 20 years for what she did.
Kelly E Miller represented me during my divorce September 27th 2004, during a hurricane evacuation while the courthouse was closed. Kelly forced me to settle out of court against my will. Kelly gained favor with the judge for "throwing me under the bus". It was to no surprise that this happened to me because Kelly had previously informed me that my (then) husbands attorney was actually friends with the judge, that they played golf together & that my husband's attorney would often sit in for the judge when the judge went on vacation. ( Also, previously, the judge threw out criminal charges on my husband for using his fist on my 3 toddler boys.) I was forced to settle out of court, by Kelly allowing the judge to illegally force me to settle out of court. I had no choice. They were more powerful than I was, I was an abused wife with abused toddlers & Kelly did nothing to help me & everything to help my ex husband, including handing over my box of files to the opposing counsel. Imagine!
