About Martin J. Friedman

Mr. Friedman graduated from the University of Vermont, where he received his B.A., and thereafter from the George Washington University Law Center, where he received his LL.B. Since his admission to the New York Bar in 1970, Mr. Friedman has been a partner at Kane, Kessler & Proujansky as well as a founding partner in the law firm of Friedman, Farren & Armenakis. That firm was merged into McLaughlin & Stern in 1990, at which time Mr. Friedman became a member of the firm. Mr. Friedman’s practice is in the areas of corporate law and finance and, for the past seven years, Mr. Friedman has specialized in the area of corporate health care.

Currently, Mr. Friedman is chair of the firm's healthcare department and represents a variety of corporate clients as well as numerous physicians, physician groups and physician networks. In connection with his practice, he has been engaged in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and all forms of commercial transactions affecting both business entities and their employees. He also is thoroughly familiar with the numerous governmental regulations impacting physicians in their day-to-day practice.

Mr. Friedman currently lives in Briarcliff Manor, New York, and is a member of the Business Law and Health Care Sections of both the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
